Snow Globe Card for Christmas

Hi all

Please don’t groan, I know it is only September but us crafters need to start thinking about Christmas early, there are so many cards to make, it is the busiest time of the year!

I hope you like this freebie as much as the umbrella card, I had a record number of crafters downloading the umbrella card files.  Hoping to hit another record with this lovely Christmas snow globe card (there are more to buy on the website).  This time I am asking you to do something a little different, the snow globe card will be available to all those that ‘Like’ Lavenders Blue on Facebook.  If you already like or would like to like, go to the Lavenders Blue Facebook page and click on the ‘Fan Freebies’ link on the left under the logo.  You will then get access to the voucher code you need and instructions on how to use it.

SNOW GLOBE RECIPE

Time; 10 mins

INGREDIENTS

RECIPE

  1. Cut out the snow globe by hand or with your cutting machine
  2. Cut out a second gold base section to use as a mask
  3. Put the mask over the gold base section and either spray with globe part of the card with fine glue or stamp with clear embossing ink
  4. Sprinkle glitter or Ice Diamond over the front of the card, transparent, white or chameleon colours work best
  5. Let the card dry, maybe add a Christmas sentiment to the gold base at the front.
  6. Alternatively use Extra Thick Embossing Powder (UTEE) instead of glitter to give a glassy glazed look – for further instructions on this method see my ‘Anyone for Tea’ blog post, dated  22nd July
