  • scalloped photo corners cutting template
  • Title frame cutting template
  • Three sizes of snowflake cutting templates
  • Lace border cutting template
  • Shaped mat cutting template
  • Ribbon/bow cut out (not shown) cutting template
  • Heart charm embellishment cutting template
  • Pin cut out (not shown) cutting template

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING THE EXAMPLE CARD SHOWN ABOVE

1. Choose a card blank (I used pale blue)
2. Print the background paper onto card(I used the snowball dot paper) and cut the background 1cms smaller than your card blank all the way around
3. Open the cutting file and re-size to fit your card blank (select all items and resize together as a group to ensure they are all scaled together).  If you do not have a cutting machine use the pdf file, it will open with Adobe Acrobat.
4. Change the colour outline of the items so that all that are being cut from the same material are the same colour or copy and paste each set to new pages.  My cutting list was;

White – lace border, mat (don’t cut yet as you need to add    the bear image)

Pale blue – photo corners, maybe the ribbon/bow if you are not using real ribbon

White/Silver glitter card – snowflakes

Silver metallic/mirror card – title frame, heart charm and pin

5. Open the image of the bear if you are using it (or substitute it with an image of your choice), copy and paste it onto the shaped mat, re-size to fit.
6. Now use your cutting machine to cut all the items out (or use the pdf file and cut by hand.
7. Draw around the photo corners with a glue pen and add the glitter.
8. Print out a sentiment to fit the title frame.
9. Use glue or double-sided tape to attach the background to your card blank.
10. Attach the lace border to the front of the card with glue or double-sided tape, trim the width to match the card blank.
11. Cut a piece of ribbon wider than your card blank and wrap around the background card in the centre of the lace border, attach with glue on the backside (or use the cut out ribbon bow in the file and attach as in step 10).
12. Glue the mat with the bear image on top of the ribbon and lace.
13. Make a bow if using real ribbon and glue in place on the right-hand side of the card over the ribbon strip.
14.  Glue the pin halves in place so that they are sticking out of the top and bottom of the bow and glue the heart charm in place so it looks as if it is held in place by the pin (or use a real pin).
15. Attach the sentiment to the frame using glue or double-sided tape and then attach this to the card using foam pads or 3d glue.
16. Attach the snowflakes in a random pattern around the mat.

TO MAKE AN INSERT FOR INSIDE THE CARD

1. Open one of the background papers and change the orientation to landscape.
2. Copy the mat shape and paste it on the right-hand side of the paper.
3. Copy the bear image and paste it in the lower right or left-hand corner of the page, re-sizing so it is small but not so small that you can’t see the detail.
4. Go back to the mat and type in the text you want.
5. Print out the insert, trim slightly on all sides.  Fold in half so that it fits inside your card.
6. Add some glue down the inside centre spine of your card and paste the insert inside.
